Connect to cell phone

Hello!
Just got my Pi, and trying to figure out a project for it. I have an old out of service cell, an LG Rumor Touch. Now, what I was thinking was to figure out a way to connect it to the Pi through USB, using the phone's screen and keyboard as the Pi's screen and keyboard. Any input/ideas?
